Like most of the east coast this week, it has been sweltering here in Charlottesville. We have had a string of days with temperatures near 100 and heat indices of 110. Yuck! I must say we are ready for a break from the heat. Weather in the northwest is looking pretty good right about now.....

Mike- Heat indices? Isn't it funny how medical/nerdy people (who hide behind their pipettes) can put a medical/lab spin on just about anything? People always laugh at me when I make my homemade TV dinners and talk about "aliquoting" the main dish into individual portions. :)
I miss you guys already and look forward to keeping up with this blog! :) You are both in my thoughts each day! :)
